chicago, one of the few major cities that people all over the world want to at least set an inch of their foot on, is after all not all heaven and no hell pit...read on, i'll tell ya' on the way...
first thing to keep in mind, never ever ever think about going to chicago during winter...dont even plan about going there either...while the temperature might fall to -7C, however the real temperature is wayyyy colder! my guess? -20C...at least...what does it feel like? try to put a piece of metal in the freezer overnight, and then put it into contact with your cheek...the same pain but not only on the cheek, but all over the body...
the metro bus system here is as expected of the metropolis city...it will get you to wherever you want to go...but the bus driver ain't that friendly...you'll have to rely on google map and gps...
