1st-class Service

last night was a hell of all time for me...the influenze-like symptoms have beaten me to dust (i know i'm exaggerating)...so i took the medicine that i knew, will affect me mentally (high effect+drowziness)

well, i took the medcine after i got back from a majlis tahlil arwah ayah syanaz, my senior who've just lost his father...normally it would take 30 minutes for me to get drowzy after taking a medicine, but last night, it was different.

my body felt very weak...my legs were trembling for i-don't-know-what-reason...chills render me immobile on my bed...even when i want to go to the toilet, i must think thrice (twice+1)...walking in straight line is like doing the color test (i'm colour blind btw)...

this morning, after my seniors forced me to see the doctor, i skipped my lecture...the clinic was huge and have the smell of luxuriness...i asked the receptionist when i can meet the doctor, and she said i have to make an appointment 1st. i don't have time for appointment which will take at least a day!

98.8F....normal...

so i said i fear that i might have ILI (Influenze-Like-Illnessess)...then she straightaway called a doctor for me and then, voila! DONE! record: normal ...but the doctor still asked me to isolate myself for 24hours minimum...oh well, i don't mind...as long as i'm perfectly swine-flu-free! Oh and thanks for the 1st-class service...you guys are quite serious about influenza...

Tafsir

sejak aku mula kepeningan + ke-demam-an khamis lalu, tidur adalah sesuatu yang aku ingin elak...mengapa?

berbekalkan ubat yang agak power berbanding dengan panadol di malaysia yang pada asal niatnya cuma mahu mengurangkan pening kepala, tetapi lain pula jadinya...

ubat itu berkesan...Ya...tetapi hanya pada batuk2 dan sakit otot...kepeningan? tidak...malah lagi teruk! hatta, setiap malam adalah nightmare bagi aku...

mimpi yang amat pelik sering datang berulang-ulang...aku ibarat seorang pengembara yang hanya boleh ambil jalan yang tidak diambil oleh orang lain (ala-ala "the road not taken")...tapi, biarpun lama aku cuba cari jalan keluar, pada akhirnya tewas...berulang2...setiap malam...mimpi yang sama...orang yg sama gagalkan aku...mukanya tidak jelas...hanya susuk tubuhnya boleh dilihat...

aku bingung tentang mimpi yg sama saja datang...datang time demam plak tuh...islam ada sebut pasal tafsir mimpi...tapi tak taw macam mana nak cari...sigh...

*mungkin ini kesan ubat yg 'power' tuh...halusinasi...tapi kenapa halusinasi yang sama?

kedinginan pagi yang sunyi lagi tenang...dilayan bersama-sama dengan angin yg bertiup sepoi2...menghembus lembut ke mukaku yang dirasakan amat sejuk...

semalam, abang khairol telah mengajak aku dan 4 org lagi pergi buy-hack (beli-belah) di satu tempat yang agak jauh dari bandar madison...almaklumla, madison merupakan bandar universiti dan tiada barang yg murah2...

destinasi kami adalah johnson creek yg terletak agak2 45 minit dari madison...disitu lah terletaknya satu kawasan beli belah yang amat besar ala2 nilai 3!

raja cam family man plak...beli barang dapur je keje...hahah

yeap...itu outlet crocs...berapa harga? 10 dollar blei dapat 2 pasang...rasa nak terjun bangun sbb murah sgt? silakan...

kereta idaman aku yang berkaler itam tu...ford mustang 500 convertible...pergh...cam haram nak jumpa kat malaysia...tak lepas kastam...

antara kedai2 yang banyak nak mampos...

yeap...saling tak tumpah cam malaysia...shopping sambil bawa keluarga...

on the way balik, tersempak ngan bas official madison...

jagung, malt, dan bunga matahari...itu je yang korang akan tgk kat semua tempat kat wisconsin...kalau kat malaysia, kelapa sawit ngan getah...

for sure sesiapa yang kaki shopping akan rambang mata kat sinih...jangan fikir convert rm kepada usd...tu je petua kalo taknak jadi gila kat US...ciow...

Berlubang

peh...minggu nih minggu paling berlobang bagi aku...tak pernah2 aku spend begini banyak utk clothing termasok kasut...

yeah...merah membara semangat waja...warna rasmi wisconsin adalah merah! tgk glove winter kat kanan tuh...cam glove utk masak kat dapor pon ada...

winter clothing memang aku tak kisah spend banyak...setakat nih, baru habis dekat 250 dollar utk full set clothing dari kepala sampai la ke kaki...terima kasih kepada tmpt shopping yang murah tahap tongkang pecah; burmington, baju winter aku yg asalnyer 180 dollar diberi diskaun sampai 50 dollar...kasut plak dpt la timberland yg harga dekat rm600 kat malaysia tapi 70 dollar di us...

set fall/winter clothing...agak berat...kalo timbang2 boleh cecah 3kilo kot...

jadi baki utk baju winter yg MARA bagi cuma tinggal 100 dollar...aku pada mulanya nak gunakan untuk beli basikal, tapi hajat terpesong...super senior amat mewajibkan ada pelapis atlit utk universiti...jadi baki terbabit aku 'terpaksa' gunakan utk set alat2 sukan futsal dan volleyball...bayangkan 2 pasang kasut adidas hanya lah 54 dollar = rm190! tapi kat sinih, jangan fikir convert kpd rm, hanya anggap usd=rm...so rasa cam rm54 jerk... ditambah dengan jersey sukan dan suar serta stokin dan beg kasut, jadilah 100 dollar...

set sukan adidas...1st time spend utk bende camnih...

yg pasti, berlobang lah poket aku sepanjang minggu nih...lepas nih takley shopping baju dah...habiskan kat makanan plak...menyambung hasrat nak jadi gemuk...(kononnyer...macam la boleh)...

Novel Experience

these are some of the novel* experiences that i gained eversince i stepped into the land of opportunity; America...

*novel=new/unusual

• i just succesfully made an online puchase for the first time of my life through Amazon.com ...(kutuk ar aku orang kampung tak pernah beli online)
• well, i received my item that i ordered from Amazon...for the first time...and more to come...'cause things such as books are much cheaper if bought online)
• shopped heavily for the first time...bought myself a full set winter clothing...cost me more than $130 dollar (which is relatively cheap 'cause i'm a thrifty shopper and doesn't care about fashion)
• used laundry and dryer machine for the first time...never handled such machine before...before this, i always wash by hand...
• went to US classes for the 1st time (of course!) and experienced a whole new study environment...(classes here are much more casual than i thought...my lecturers look more like students or makcik pasar...)
  

there's more to come of course...i love to spectate the world around me and by seeing the world using my own two eyes, i can learn about people's personality and culture...till then, ciow...

Observation

before i came to the US, i have always thought and taught that most westerners are WAY taller than us asians...i'm my mind, they are always pictured as a feet taller than me and with the build of arnold susah-nak-eja (scwarzeneger)...

the theory is not entirely true and also not entirely wrong...from what i've seem these few days after living a new chapter of my life in the US:-

• tall men are a rare breed in the US...in my observation, only 1 in 40 people are a foot taller than me...
• 60% of them are as tall as me (174cm) and 30%+ are shorter than me...
• toilet walls are too short...if i were 3cm taller, i can see the other person next to my toilet shitting...they built short wall despite that majority of them are tall people...funny...
• one thing i noticed here is that most men have body-builder-type body (they're like too obsessed with body building).
• most women here wear shorts (really short shorts), thight t-shirts to show of their boobs (kiddin'), and eat ice cream when the temperature is at 9 degree celcius!
• sunglasses/shades are like must-have item in their inventory...the sunlight here in the US is way more hot and have high glare...without shades, my eyes are like burning and i have to lower my vision to the floor while walking...
• helmets are only highly recommended here and not compulsory...so expect to see people riding scooter without any helmet...
• the math level among the white men are low compared to the malaysians...they learn addmath level math at college when the malaysians already learnt it at form 5...
